imPRESSed!

Aaaah I'm so happy! So I went to work today, to sign some papers..and as I was leaving..A colleague of mine said, well well you're famous now? At first I did not know what to say..and then I got it..my article! A month a go, Claire Thys contacted me..they were looking for a personal shopper in Antwerp. I got 'the job' and we went on a shoppingtrip through the city. The mission? finding outfits according to the spring and summer trends! First stop was H&M, for the less expensive clothes, stuff everyone can afford. Second stop was at Filippa K..for the more pricy items. I was pretty nervous, because this was my first time being interviewed about my knowledge on fashion and trends..but the girls were very nice..and I had an amazing time and experience!

It's official! KIMYE is on!

It's official.. Kim and Kanye are dating! They were seen together at the opening of Scott's new Japanese restaurant in the Big Apple! And things are moving fast, Kanye was even included in a family picture. So cute!
Everyone's really excited about the new lovebirds. Friends and family love Kanye, and say that he's a really good guy, and that he makes Kim very happy! Good Luck Kimanye or Kimye!

Krazy big buns!

My favorite hairstyle at the moment, are the buns. Because it's SO easy, and looks really good! Especially the BIG buns are very HOT at the moment. So I got a lot of questions on how to create that look..well it's really really easy.. I found this video on how to create the big bun look..without any hairtools..just a SOCK.

Here are some pictures of me, with the crazy big bun hairstyle. What's great about this hairstyle is that yu can create so many different looks. You can do a really high bun, or a low one to the side. A lot of possibilities! 

KIM & KANYE? For real?

Okay...there've been a lot of rumors going around..about Kim and Kanye. They've been friends for years...but is their friendship getting more romantic? I dont know..but it seems like Kim's trying to tell us something..when she departed from LAX airport, with Kanye west's initials????? What's going on? I hope she's smart enough not to rush in to anything. But I must admit..they look really cute together! And maybe he's not such a douchebag after all?

Butch diva!

You all know Kat graham probably by now.. if the name doesn't ring a bell, 'put your graffiti on me' will. In her music video, she wears the awesome yellow and black catsuit from the brand named BUTCH DIVA.

So I looked up this amazing brand..and I found what I expected. Over the top, but fabulous clothes! check out some pictures of my fav pieces by butch diva.

Yes, here they are..my favorite make up products..at the moment. They change all the time. I'm addicted to make up, and trying out new stuff! That's the best way, because every face is different. You just have to find your perfect match. And I think I've found mine.

What I use on a daily base..is not much..I start with the hydrating mist from MAC, then I start by concealing my dark cirkles under my eyes, or any other dark spots with my Estée lauder brush-on illuminator, after that I apply my Dior nude foundation ( best I've ever had )  with my foundation brush from MAC. My face is nice and nude looking, just the way I like it..Then the piece de resistance, my strobe cream from MAC, no worries i'm posting pictures in the end of all my products, so you now exactly what they look like. The strobe cream is great, because it illuminates your face, and highlights it. It makes your cheekbones look like glass when the light falls on them. GORGEOUS! After the strobe cream, it's time for the eyes.. I use my black glittery eye pencil from Helena Rubenstein, because I like how the gold glitters make my eyes sparkle, and after that, I use any kind of mascara that will make my lashes look huge and very very black!

As a finishing touch, I get out my blush from Hema wet & dry ( Yes, it does work ) and my lip conditioner from MAC. After applying all the make up on my face, I fixate it with my finishing mist, from MAC. Eh voila, a nude but pretty make up look has been created!

In need of stylist/ personal shopper? You know who to call! I've been freelancing as a stylist for 5 months now, and I love it! I decided to quit my day job, and take a leap of faith,and just go for it. I know now, this is my destiny, My dream, my passion. I'll make this work. It's hard, not knowing, how or when..but that's called life. I'm a strong believer, in never giving up on dreams. If it takes me 5, 10 years..I'll get there. KARMIN everybody!

Have you guys heard of KARMIN? I absolutely love them!

'Nick and Amy met at Berklee College of Music in Boston by way of small town lives in Old Town, Maine and Seward, Nebraska. They began writing songs together to meet the demands of school projects, but later took on the name “Karmin” to put an identity to their distinct writing style.

After working separately with several other groups, Nick and Amy decided to take their promising collaboration to the next level by performing around the East Coast as a duo.'

Especially Amy's style is adorable, she is slamming HOT! A confident woman on stage, I dig it! She blows me away, her voice is the kind that you just wanna hear over and over again! That actually happens here in my place, their song BROKENHEARTED is on repeat all the time! Another thing I love about them, is their sence of style. So original..and perky. "Born" in the USA.

Most of you already know this, but I'm half american. My dad's from there. My mom moved to America, when she was pretty young, in her twenties I guess. She became an Aupaire for my dad's sister. So she took care of the kids, and the household. That's where she met my dad..they got married a few years later..lived in Maryland for a couple of years, and then decided to move back here when she was pregnant with me. So I never really got to live there..but I love that country. It has his ups and downs..good and bad..but I still want to move there eventually..if only it was for a year. It would be awesome. Get to know my roots.

Do you guys know the store called American Apparel? I have one right around the corner here in Antwerp, and I absolutely adore it. One of my first buys there, was this tshirt..with the American flag on it. I think it was a mens tshirt..but I do not care. I like oversized tee's and sweaters. It's my favorite T shirt..So I wanted to wear it last night, when we went to the movies..I combined it with my new leather skirt, All star sneakers, and a jeans sleeveless vest. Btw, check out my new haircolor, for those who haven't seen it yet..I love it. Glad I made the choice to go lighter.. Take care everyone!

Cupcake Diaries!

What to do on a saturday afternoon, when it's raining like crazy outside? Exactly, baking stuff! And by stuff, I mean pastries with chocolate! Like CUPCAKES. It's a new hype, cupcakes are the it thing atm. We have a cupcake store where I live, and you have to be fast if you want to get a taste..because by the late afternoon..they're sold out! But I decided to try and make some myself... and they turned out pretty darn good. I call them my triple chocolate bom cupcake! It has a chocolate flavored dough, chocolate frosting for on top, white flakes of chocolate, and a chocolate decorating paste to go on top. Chocolate OVERDOSE. But who cares? I do a little bit, because I actually wanted to get rid of my belly, before going to barcelona in June. ( BARCELONA IN JUNE, WHOEHOEW! )

But here are some pictures of my lovely cupcakes. First time I ever made cupcakes..I'm glad they turned out good! YUM.

Women and shoes.

Today is a good day! Why? Just out of no where...comes Nora Bendelladj,27 years old, from Geel. She decided to suprise everyone..by handing out FREE shoes on the Meir in Antwerp. Just for fun. Today, around 1 in the afternoon, she will hand out 1000 flat shoes to everyone in need. She feels it's our right as a woman, to be pampered like this, and I couldn't agree more. Nora has a shoe shop called Opes in Turnhout. Last year, she installed a shoe vending machine in NOXX nightclub here in Antwerp. How great is that?

Blond versus Brunette!

My new hairdo! Do you like it? I'm a natural dark blond..so I thought I would go back to the original roots some more.. plus Summer is coming, next step, light blond ends! YES!

Lately it seems like it's raining down new talents! First I discovered Kat Graham ( who turns out to be a bitch.. but in every good way, check it out here. )  Today I came across the article about Jay-Z finding his new Beyoncé. My first thought?? NO ONE MESSES WITH MY B! ( just kidding ). But the tabloids have found a new interesting girl to speculate about. Rita Ora, was born in Kosovo, but moved to the United Kingdom shortly after. In 2009, she auditioned for BBC's Eurovision ; Your country needs you..to be the next Eurovision British contestant..but after a few episodes she withdrew because she didn't feel ready. She started singing in bars in and around London. After a while Roc Nation heard about Ora, and flew her up to New York, to meet up with Jay-Z himself. After her visit, he signed her to Roc Nation.

Her first single ' Hot right now' was a smash hit..and got over 17.000.000 views on youtube. She has a new song out called 'How we do', which I personally prefer to her first one. You can watch them both below.

I'm curious, do you guys also notice that Rita looks like a mixture of Rihanna and Beyoncé?

Black&Blanche - New brand!

So it's finally here... the big launch of the new Antwerp based brand.. BLACK&BLANCHE. What does every girl ( and guy )  need in her closet? AMAZING SOCKS, right? Short ones, knee highs, over knees, ... in every trendy color! Your go to brand frow now on ; Black&Blanche. I am a huge fan of socks..especially the over knees. This brand has done a great job, designing new original socks that we haven't seen before.

The socks come in 3 different styles.. you've got the Uni color; Socks in different colors following the new trends, decorative ; socks with flowers, and pop art prints, and last but not least Fantasy ; socks with little bows, lace details, and combined materials.

Black&Blanche is a color brand. So besides their collection of socks, they came up with an interesting and easy solution, to figure out how to combine colors. Let me introduce to you, the color passport. It comes in a pocket size version, with different color charts. No worries Iphone addicts, they also made an Iphone and Ipad application..So now you have no excuses left, for not wearing color!

So this is how it works..Imagine, you have this one top, that you haven't worn yet. You've tried it on several times, but after a few minutes taken it off again, because you failed to find a matching piece of clothing that completes your look. Well, The color passport, will help you find that piece of clothing! Just whip out you're pocket size version, or open the gadget on your iphone or Ipad.. and start matching. If you're using the pocket size one, you take you're color chart, and slide it in, eh voila, the matching colors appear on your passport. It's really that easy!

On Tuesday, the 3rd of April, Black&Blanche had their press launch in Amsterdam. It was a rather intimate gathering. Location for the launch, was the Supperclub in Amsterdam. Everyone had to dress in their favorite color. The interior was all white, so the socks and outfits of the guests really stood out.

The Black&Blanche collection will be sold in stores starting from August. You can download the color passport, the first of July. So we'll have to wait just a little longer! For now, I've got some juicy pictures, from the first shoot, and the press launch in Amsterdam! Enjoy! And remember, Color is the new black!
