Rihanna for River Island - Exclusive shopping event.

So yesterday I went to Amsterdam, to check out the 'Rihanna for River Island' collection. We were invited by PR agency Oona. Actually I got invited by Itza from Made by chickies. She could not make it, so she sent me a message monday evening, asking me if I wanted to go instead. As soon as I heard the name Rihanna, my mind freaked out. Rihanna is someone I look up to in so many ways. I love her, so I was very happy that Itza asked me. The next day we left at 16u in Antwerp. When I got there, there was a VIP bus waiting, with leather seats, and Rihanna advertising on the outside. The girls from Oona did a great job, taking care of us. They catered us with drinks, yummy lunchboxes, and cupcakes. During the drive, we got to watch the DVD of Rihanna's tour, which was a nice addition to our luxury arrangement. Once we got to the store, the music was pumping, food and drinks were being served, models (men dressed in female clothing) were striking their best poses, and a lot of people were shopping for Rihanna goodies. I immediately started scanning the racks, the first thing I picked up was the gorgeous cap. I fell in love with it instantly. I also got a grey basic Tshirt, and a denim cropped top.  I loved the collection. Basic, but with a subtle edge to it. Minimalistic, but with a lot of UMPH. Fierce, sexy, and super feminine. I also bought some ear cuffs, gold and silver, and a cross shaped ring. I will do some outfit posts, wearing the clothes I got. A fun surprise was that we all received a 20% discount. So that wasn't too shabby! 

I met some really nice people. Usually I'm skeptical about meeting new people, especially girls. I don't know why, but in the fashion industry, very often people treat each other like crap. But that was not the case AT ALL. We had a great time, and I really want to thank Itza for giving me the opportunity to meet them, and also a huge shout out to Oona for taking care of us.
